An unmissable classic of party halls

The 12 months game

Let’s go for an exciting adventure with the 12 months game, a classic party game that promises laughter and frantic races! Imagine: each month of the year is a kingdom with its own treasure to retrieve.

Game overview

To start, 13 people sit on 13 chairs placed in the center of the dance floor.

Twelve times, the players will rush to find an object. The name of the object is revealed at the last moment.

Start the clock, the name of the object is shared, an upbeat music starts, and one chair is removed. The music stops only once all the chairs are occupied by participants who have brought back the targeted object (*).

The loser is identified, and their forfeit is announced. One forfeit per month is defined in advance. For example, the loser might be told that they will have to invite the newlyweds to eat the Epiphany cake in January, or crepes in February, or to have a barbecue in July.

After 12 object searches, you have only one candidate left, and that’s your winner. At this stage, the newlyweds have been treated well, and this time, it’s for them. The newlyweds will have to invite the winner shortly after their first wedding anniversary.

One last point, this game can ideally be organized between the main course and dessert or between dessert and the opening of the ball.

(*) If there’s any doubt, the eliminated player can request a check of the items brought back. It’s not just a game—some people are willing to do whatever it takes to win.
